Expedition Layers in Google Earth Pro


Students read books on various historical and modern expeditions and created a layer in Google Earth. These geographical book reports challenge students to develop a thesis and demonstrated how it played out in the literature. Some of the topics chosen by students included: gender and equity, coming of age, supply challenges, leadership, cultural assimilation, environmental exploitation, safety, historical technology, and navigational challenges.
